This weeks Practice Makes Progress is inspired by a recent trip to Whole Foods.
I haven't been to a Whole Foods for quite some time since I don't live near one. But when I did live near their Oakville location, I'd visit to walk the aisles to see the signage. (I also visited for the ready made food, wall of bread and delicious pizza.)
I've always been inspired by sign painting. To see a large company still care enough to create jobs doing so is truly inspiring. I took some time to letter this collection in a chalkboard fashion.
Full pieces such as "farm fresh and local" or my favourite, "put a fork in it" which I imagine would be a large sign or mural. To small spots, maybe on bread packaging such as "baked daily". I love letting my imagination run wild while thinking about the bigger picture, even when it's imaginary.
I hope you enjoyed this week!
Stay tuned for more.
